Inspired by Natural Healing Mother of three and the grandmother of three. Joan loves anything to do with the outdoors; fishing, hunting, gardening, etc. She has been a nurse for 30+ years. Her interest in Natural Health started in the early 90's after a chiropractor that was also a Kinesiologist relieved her severe PMS and her 3-year-old daughter's chronic ear infections. She couldn't read enough about the topic of natural health, from diet changes, herbs, to Flower Essences, etc. and became a Healing Touch practitioner in 1995 and a Reiki Master/Teacher a year later. While reading a Holistic magazine she found an ad for the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education and went to check it out. She entered the program in the fall of 2005, passed the National Certification for Naturopaths and graduated in January 2010. It is her honor to serve the people of Northern Michigan with natural health options.

Katherine has always had a deep intuitive sense that she wanted to be "a healer" although it wasn't until she discovered Shiatsu and massage that she really knew what this meant for her. She enjoys the depth and connection of the one-on-one interaction in bodywork therapy, and feels deeply honored to be able to share in her clients healing journey. Katherine completed her LMT and Shiatsu certification at Zen Shiatsu in Chicago, IL in 2015. There she was lucky enough to learn from mentors who had been practicing Shiatsu and massage therapy for over 40 years. While studying, Katherine was an active participant in the healing community in Chicago, where she worked at multiple yoga studios and had a chance to deepen her yoga and meditation practices, receive regular acupuncture and explore energetic and psychic healing. Prior to living in Chicago, her path led her to live and study in South America, the UK and India, as well as teach in Spain and travel through all three countries. She holds a BA in History and Sociology from the University of Michigan, as well an MSc in Contemporary Urbanism from the London School of Economics. Always ready for a new adventure, she now calls Northern Michigan her home. Her interests include TCM, Ayurveda, yoga, pilates, aromatherapy, reading, getting outside, exploring on her bike, cooking, drinking tea and delving deeper into holistic health.

Peter was born and raised in Harbor Springs, though he spent most of his adult life in Florida as CFO of a healthcare company. He has always been an athlete and enjoyed competitive sports, so naturally fitness and movement dynamics became a passion. Studying everything he could get his hands on from wrestling to CrossFit to Tibetan meditation, he found more than just the practices. He believes that, besides being functional, a consistent physical practice, in whatever form, provides opportunity for the development of mental fortitude. Every workout is an opportunity to do something you’ve never done before in your entire life - to balance longer, lift more, perform more repetitions, stretch farther. Of course the body can do it, but it’s the mind that must be trained to push the body - to be at home in the exhaustion and discomfort that pushing boundaries entails. FUN FACTS: he likes hunting, fishing, and playing piano.
