Owner- Zumba, Strength and Conditioning, Real Ryder, Pound
Christi has always been active, playing sports, running and just enjoying life. Being an athlete introduced her to Zumba long before it became a world wide trend.
In 2007 she spent a winter in southern Alabama taking Zumba classes and found her passion. She took master classes with Erick Santana before becoming the first Zumba instructor in northern Michigan in 2008. In 2009 she attended master classes in California, Florida and Ohio with Beto Perez (the creator of Zumba) getting her license to teach basic 2 under Beto, her Aqua license through Maria Browning (the co-creater of Aqua program) and her ZumbAtomic license with Gina Grant (the co-creator of the Zumba for kids program). In 2010 she traveled to Wisconsin to train under Kelly Bullard to receive her Zumba Toning license.
Throughout her career she has expanded her skills to Pole Fitness, chair and burlesque dancing, strength training and Real Ryder cycling. With the love of dance and fitness she created her own program called Alley Cats Fitness, which was introduced in 2014. In 2015 she traveled to Chicago to become one of the first Pound Fitness pros in northern Michigan. In 2017 she received her license to teach Strong by Zumba and understands the importance of, and continues to keep her training current and up to date.
Her goal is to motivate, inspire, and educate others about the benefits of exercising and living a healthy lifestyle. “Health and fitness is more than just your appearance; exercising makes us feel better and live healthier. With patience and persistence, anyone can achieve realistic goals, including high self-esteem, confidence, and the body you desire.
Crystal is a Petoskey native; a mother of three and grandmother of seven. She demonstrates her passion for exercising through a very active lifestyle. She is highly motivated and is well known in the exercise community of Petoskey. Her positive attitude and energetic personality show through her involvement in cycling, jazzercise, line dancing, zumba and spinning classes.
She is committed to improving the health of individuals through the innovative technology of Real Ryder. Spinning has been a passion for Crystal for over 25 years, although it wasn’t her intent to teach, after experiencing the Real Ryder bikes and the different class style there was no way she could pass this up. Join a class with Crystal to establish and reach your goals.
Neile is no stranger to the dance world; for 14 years she studied ballet, modern and jazz dance at Dance Connection in Gaylord and was also a member of the Dance Connection Performance Group for 6 years. School counselor by day instructor by night her love of dance lead her to Zumba in 2010 and she became an instructor in 2011.
In 2013 she moved to Petoskey and became a part of the studio leading routines during classes and subbing when Christi is away. Her warm personality and ability to make you feel comfortable and sexy has lead her to become one of Christi’s first Alley Cat instructors. Join a class with Neile and bring out your inner goddess.
Julie has been active all of her life. She has only truly fell in love with fitness recently. Her love for music and dance led her to Zumba. She walked through the door of Studio Health and Fitness in 2013 and never looked back. Since then, she has been actively involved with several studio class offerings.
In 2017 she took her fitness to the next level by becoming a Zumba and Pound instructor. It brings her great pleasure to share her love of fitness with others. Outside of the studio Julie runs on a casual level, competing occasionally and setting personal goals. She also coaches Girls on the Run each spring. Julie resides in Petoskey with her husband and three children.
Sherrie is a USAG certified gymnastics instructor with over 25 years of experience and 14 years teaching pre-k. She has coached at the junior Olympic 1-9 levels. She has a lifelong passion for the sport and has competed as a teenager. Sherrie is excited to share how gymnastics can make a difference in your child’s life by strengthening their body and giving them confidence and self-esteem. She earned an Associate’s degree from NCMC and a Bachelor’s degree from LSSU, both in early child development. She is CPR and First Aid certified. Sherrie was born in the Lansing area but was raised in Petoskey. She is a graduate of Petoskey High School. Sherrie has two young daughters that share her enthusiasm for dance and gymnastics
Audrey is a gymnastics instructor with over 25 years of experience and has coached at the junior Olympic 1-9 levels. She owned a child development center for 15 years as a director and teacher. Audrey has a lifelong passion for the sport and is excited to share how participating in gymnastics as a young child can have a life-long positive effect both physically and emotionally while building confidence and self-esteem. She is CPR and First Aid Certified. Audrey was born in the Lansing area but was raised in Petoskey. She is a graduate of Petoskey High School. She went onto Michigan State University and earned a Bachelors in Family Studies with an emphasis in child development. She lives in Petoskey with her husband and 4 children, 2 dogs, turtles and a rabbit. Audrey loves dance, yoga and anything outside! She is excited to encourage your child through gymnastics.
Anthony was born and raised in Northern MI, and has pursued a career in “Fitness.” Anthony has earned a degree through North Central Michigan College, and also has his certification in Strength and conditioning from International Sports Science Association or ISSA; which is also accredited by DEAC: Distance education accrediting commission. Anthony has spent his life around sports, exercise and health. And continues to influence, athletes of all ages, and general like minded people looking to pursue the same healthy lifestyle.
